The CRO-CD gives you the same zero-backlash accuracy as the CRO-CS, with a longer span to absorb more shaft misalignment.
The CRO-CD is the extended-length version of our CRO-CS single diaphragm coupling. It uses the same one-piece aluminum hub and 304 stainless steel diaphragm, but with a longer body that flexes over a greater distance — which means it can absorb more angular and parallel misalignment without sacrificing stiffness.
If your shafts are a little out of alignment, or you need more torque margin at the same outside diameter, the CRO-CD is the natural step up. It is the coupling we recommend for longer drive trains, belt-driven axes and any installation where perfect alignment is hard to guarantee.

Model naming: CD-d1+d2 — d1 = input bore (mm), d2 = output bore (mm). Select CD when the CS standard length is insufficient or higher torque margin is required.
Choose the CRO-CD when your shafts carry a little misalignment or you need more torque headroom than the standard CRO-CS. If alignment is tight and space is short, the CRO-CS is the better fit. For spindle drives above 350 N·m, move to the 45# steel diaphragm series.
The CRO-CD is the extended-length version of the CRO-CS. The longer body absorbs more angular and parallel misalignment, at the cost of a slightly lower torsional stiffness and higher weight. If your shafts are well aligned, the CS is enough; if not, the CD is the safer choice.
The outside diameter is the same (19–126 mm), but the CD is longer. Check the length column in the table above against your available space before switching.
The CRO-CD compensates up to 0.60° angular and up to 1.3 mm parallel misalignment on the largest sizes. Exceeding these limits shortens diaphragm life — align your shafts as closely as possible for best results.
