The CRO-CS is a single-flex diaphragm coupling built around a one-piece aluminum hub and a thin 304 stainless steel diaphragm. That single metal disc is the whole story: it transmits torque with zero backlash while flexing slightly to absorb the small misalignments that every real machine has.
Because there are no rubber or plastic parts to wear out, the CRO-CS keeps its precision for the life of the installation. It's the workhorse we recommend first for servo motors, stepper drives and encoder feedback where accuracy matters more than anything else.

It means the coupling uses one thin metal disc between the two hubs. A single diaphragm is stiffer and more compact than a double, but compensates less misalignment — ideal when your shafts are well aligned.
